Ausra Names Craig Smith as Vice President of U.S. Sales

Mountain View, CA—December 02, 2009—Ausra, Inc., a provider of large-scale, concentrated solar thermal steam generators for electricity generation and industrial processes, has named Craig A. Smith as Vice President of U.S. Sales. Smith joins Ausra with 16 years of achievement in the energy industry, bringing in-depth experience in power boiler sales, procurement, and equipment design for power generation and industrial steam customers.

Smith brings to Ausra 16 years experience in the heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) industry, most recently serving as Vice President – Sales & Marketing for a leading supplier of HRSGs for gas turbine applications. He began his career designing power boilers to American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) code. Smith is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
